Shake-on vs Grip: which fits your event?

Both platforms match people at business events and help exhibitors capture leads. Grip is built for scale, with many meeting formats, deep analytics and a long list of registration integrations. Shake-on publishes its prices, has a free plan, starts matching with a conversation about each guest's goals and reports against goals you agree before the event.

The short answer

  • You run very large or hosted-buyer events. Grip cites more than 5,000 events and 2 million booked meetings.
  • You need many meeting formats, such as hosted buyer, speed networking and investor meetings.
  • You want deep analytics: more than 100 graphs and tables, with around 400 data points per participant.
  • Your registration runs on Cvent, Visit by GES, Swoogo or Livebuzz and you want a native connection.
  • You want published prices, or to start free with up to 50 guests.
  • Matching should start from what each guest says they need at this event, rather than from swipes.
  • You want every meeting and lead reported against goals agreed before the event.
  • Booth teams should scan leads in the browser, without installing an app.

QUESTIONS

Choosing between Shake-on and Grip.

Is Shake-on cheaper than Grip?
Can we move from Grip to Shake-on?

Yes. Export your attendee list as a CSV and import it. Guests get an email invitation to the Concierge. Try it on one event first: Shake-on is priced per event.

Does Shake-on scan leads offline?

Check-in works offline. Lead scanning needs a connection, so we check wifi and mobile coverage at the stands before your event. If your hall has no coverage, tell us early.

Is Shake-on built for hosted buyer programmes?

Shake-on supports 1:1 meetings with time slots, roundtables and curated meetings. If your event depends on a formal hosted buyer programme with many formats, compare Grip's options closely.
